KandKKittiKats is a Plano, Texas-based CFA (The Cat Fancier’s Association)-registered hobby cattery with beautiful Shaded Golden and Blue Golden Chinchilla Persian lines. We created our cattery from our mutual love for the beautiful colors and temperaments of the Shaded Golden and Blue Golden Chinchilla Persians and the Persian breed.
We focus on raising healthy kittens and ensure they are well-socialized. We raise our kittens underfoot, without cages. When you adopt a kitten from us, you become an extended family. We are here for you for the life of the kitten and beyond. We offer kittens for adoption as part of our hobby.
The Persian Chinchilla cat is also known as the Silver Persian. Their coat is a shimmering gold (shaded golden), silver (shaded silver) or blue (blue golden) coat. They have beautiful green or blue eyes. The Persian Chinchilla cats are very sought after. They have a luxurious, dense coat. Their coat requires regular grooming to maintain its beautiful coat.
The Persian Chinchilla cats are known for their sweet gentle nature. They are a loving and calm cat that enjoys a serene environment. They make excellent companions and thrive on interaction with their humans.
The Chinchilla Persians have multi-colored hair strands. The Persian Chinchilla cat breed originated from combining the Persian cat and the Chinchilla cat. Their coat is known for its golden or silver coat tipped with black.
We work with Grand Champion Persian Chinchilla bloodlines. We work with Stardazl, Brettachtal’s, and Extasse bloodlines.
Our breeding cats are DNA tested by Wisdom Panel, the definitive means to ensure the absence of genetic abnormalities and susceptibilities. Essentially, this means we are not only negative for the major genetic diseases of PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) as well as PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) but are checked for over 50 known genetic health predispositions. Thus, we ensure we are not breeding unhealthy cats. In addition to the DNA testing on our lines, we also test our incoming adults to ensure they are not carrying infectious diseases such as FELV and FIV.
Although we are based in Texas, our kittens are available for adoption and placement worldwide, both as breeders and as pets. We can deliver to all 50 US States, Canada, and Western Europe. We can deliver to other destinations as well. These would be considered on a case-by-case basis. Persian Chinchilla kittens/cats are a brachycephalic breed (flat-faced) and cannot be transported by air as unaccompanied cargo; they must be transported in the cabin, which requires a pet nanny.
If you are applying to adopt one of our Persian Chinchilla cats or kittens contact us, we would love to hear from you.
CFA Breed Standard for Persian Cats
The following Persian breed standard information is based on the Cat Fancier’s Association description of the Persian breed. The information is directly from their published standard of the Persian breed.
Showing is judged by the following point system:
HEAD (including size and shape of eyes,…………………………….. 30 ear shape and set)
BODY TYPE (including shape, size, bone, and ……………………. 20 length of tail)
COAT ……………………………………………………………………………… 10 BALANCE…………………………………………………………………………. 5 REFINEMENT…………………………………………………………………… 5 COLOR……………………………………………………………………………. 20
EYE COLOR ……………………………………………………………………. 10
Balance and refinement are the essence of the breed, where all parts come together in a harmonious whole, with neither too much nor too little consideration given to any one feature. For cats in the tabby division, the 20 points for color are to be divided,10 for markings and 10 for color.
For cats in the bi-color division, the 20 points for color are to be divided, 10 for “with white” pattern and 10 for color.
GENERAL: the ideal Persian should present an impression of a heavily boned, well-balanced cat with a sweet expression and soft, round lines. The large round eyes set wide apart in a large round head contribute to the overall look and expression. The long thick coat softens the lines of the cat and accentuates the roundness in appearance.
HEAD: round and massive, with great breadth of skull. Round face with round underlying bone structure. Well set on a short, thick neck. Skull structure is to be smooth and round to the touch and not unduly exaggerated from where the forehead begins at the top of the break to the back of the head, and across the breadth between the ears. When viewed in profile, the prominence of the eyes is apparent and the forehead, nose, and chin appear to be in vertical alignment.
NOSE: short, snub, and broad, with “break” centered between the eyes.
CHEEKS: full. The muzzle is not overly pronounced, smoothing nicely into the cheeks. JAWS: broad and powerful.
CHIN: full, well-developed, and firmly rounded, reflecting a proper bite.
EARS: small, round-tipped, tilted forward, and not unduly open at the base. Set far apart, and low on the head, fitting into (without distorting) the rounded contour of the head.
EYES: brilliant in color, large, round, and full. Set level and far apart, giving a sweet expression to the face.
BODY: of cobby type, low on the legs, broad and deep through the chest, equally massive across the shoulders and rump, with a well-rounded mid-section and level back. Good muscle tone with no evidence of obesity. Large or medium in size. Quality is the determining consideration rather than size.
LEGS: short, thick, and strong. Forelegs straight. Hind legs are straight when viewed from behind.
PAWS: large, round, and firm. Toes carried close, five in front and four behind.
TAIL: short, but in proportion to body length, carried without a curve and at an angle lower than the back.
COAT: long and thick, standing off from the body. Of fine texture, glossy, and full of life. Long all over the body, including the shoulders. The ruff is immense and continues in a deep frill between the front legs. Ear and toe tufts long. Brush very full.
TRANSFER TO AOV: colors not accepted for championship status. DISQUALIFY: locket or button. Kinked or abnormal tail. Incorrect number of toes. Any apparent weakness in the hind quarters. Any apparent deformity of the spine. Deformity of the skull results in an asymmetrical face and or head. A nose that is visibly set to one side of the vertical centerline of the face. Crossed eyes. * *The above-listed disqualifications apply to all Persian cats. Additional disqualifications are listed under “Colors.”
